The CSO of a major European logistics company wanted to win support from colleagues for decarbonisation initiatives. They brought me in to educate the C-Suite and Board about the risks and opportunities.
To prepare for this I:
Aligned with the client on the level of carbon literacy in the room (low) and historic initiatives they'd done (limited)
Researched their competitors, creating compelling case studies of rivals showing leadership
Distilled the complex EU decarbonisation regulations into a digestible story, supported by infographics
Situation scientific and ethical elements within the company's economy, profit-motive context
As a result:
The client recommended me to their parent company, the largest courier in the BENELUX region, where I delivered a similar workshop to 200 of their regional directors (this time educating sales teams)
The client invited me to lead their multi-year decarbonisation initiative
Both clients have continued successful change management, with greater support from internal stakeholders, and better consumer awareness of their low- and zero-carbon fleet transition plans
